King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has announced the official launch of its Singapore office.
Headed by senior partner Liu Haitao, the Singapore office comprises a team of nine partners covering dispute resolution, corporate, capital markets, banking and finance practices. Partners Liu Haitao, Qi Yuan and Bai Bing focus on dispute resolution; Jiang Mengbi and Fei Dake specialise in corporate work; Jing Gang, Gao Yimin and Liu Xiaogang lead capital markets matters; and Zhang Haoqing handles banking and finance practice.
So far this year, KWM has established offices in Vancouver and Los Angeles in sequence, making Singapore its third new office opened within the past six months. The office will focus on cross-border investment, financing, corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, investigations, dispute resolution and private wealth matters. Working in tandem with KWM’s offices across mainland China, Hong Kong, North America and Japan, it will deliver cross-border legal services for Chinese enterprises investing in Southeast Asia and international companies conducting China-related businesses.
The launch of the Singapore office marks a key step for KWM to reshape its global service network following the end of its 14-year alliance with Mallesons. The two firms announced their demerger in December 2025, with the arrangements taking effect at the end of March this year. Mallesons retained control of the former Singapore office. By establishing its standalone Singapore office, KWM will further strengthen its capacity to provide cross-border legal services for the Southeast Asian market.
